Welcome to the Florida Women’s Ministries Retreat Webpage!

We are back at the Rosen Centre Hotel in beautiful Orlando, Florida on April 17-19, 2015.

We are blessed to have Susan Lawrence (https://www.facebook.com/PurePurpose) as our guest speaker and recording artist Kerrie Roberts as our worship leader and Saturday night concert. We will dig deep into what it means to show God’s light and many faceted colors, and truly live as His Masterpiece!

Details of the retreat will continue to be added to this webpage as we get closer to the event. For now, contact your local Salvation Army for details on how to register for the 2015 Women’s Ministries Retreat!

We are honored to have Major Sheila Lanier, Susan Lawrence and Kerrie Roberts as our guests for Women’s Retreat this year!  Enjoy reading about Susan and Kerrie and connecting with them on social media.  Next time, we will add Major Sheila Lanier’s bio and tell you more about the new activities we have for this year’s retreat!

Here is a great review of Kerrie Roberts by one of our own, Captain Karla Perez:

Kerrie Roberts has stellar vocals and is a beautiful pianist. Her songs are filled with passion which is heard in every song that she has recorded. She sings about things that all of us face on a daily basis. Her songs reveal that she has the heart of an empathetic woman who understands what we all struggle with and are called to face and endure. I have often felt as if Kerrie has been reading my journal and eavesdropping into my prayer time through some of her songs. I feel the Lord encouraging me through her songs telling me not to give up, to keep standing firm and to trust Him because He has great plans for me and is going to use me. One of her first songs was, “No Matter What” and it is a declaration that no matter what happens in my life, I’m going to trust Him and love Him because I know that He wants the best for me and regardless of what happens to me, He is in control of it all. I have also been encouraged by “In Your Sight.” It is wonderful to be reminded that I am always in God’s sight. Regardless of how I feel or how many times I may fail, He knows all things and has me in His hands; all I have to do is rest in Him and trust Him. Some of the other songs that I like are “Keep on Breathing,” “Masterpiece,” “The Broken Ones” and many others. I have been richly blessed by Kerrie Roberts and the real, intimate and passionate words in all of her songs. Kerrie Roberts has been put up to the level of the amazing vocals of Natalie Grant and Nicole Nordeman. Furthermore, her song “Unstoppable” was a featured theme song in the first TV promos for the 10th season of “American Idol.”
