The Salvation Army is known for being the first service agency to arrive at a disaster...and the last to leave.

When hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and other disasters strike, survivors and relief workers rely upon The Salvation Army for food, emotional support and other critical services.  Once the dust has settled, our staff and volunteers stay for weeks, months or even years to assist in cleanup efforts, providing affected households with both short & long term case management.

Partnering with other disaster relief organizations to maximize the effectiveness of service, The Salvation Army has a specific role in accordance with FEMA guidelines and the Office of Emergency Management in Pasco County to avoid duplication of service.

The Salvation Army also provides

free volunteer training classes throughout the year.
