Our Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.
Our message is based on the Bible. Our ministry is motivated by the love of God. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human need in His name without discrimination.
Each year more than 30 million people in the Untied States receive services provided by The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army serves all those in need regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
The basic social services developed by William Booth exemplify the Army's strong religious principles. In addition, new programs that address contemporary needs have been established around the world.
