Why Character Building?

The Salvation Army is committed to sharing God’s love and message of Jesus Christ and hope through actively meeting human needs in His name without discrimination. Additionally we offer a number of positive ministry programs and events for young people that will help them to develop an unwavering and a non dualistic character while at the same time helping them to grow in an understanding of God’s love through a life long relationship with Jesus Christ.

A character building program for girls ages 4 & 5.

A character building program for all girls in grades 1-5.

Girl Guards
A character building program for girls in grades 6-12.

Adventure Corps
A character building program designed for boys grades 1-8.
It is divided into two sections:
Explorers (grades 1-4); and Rangers (grades 5-8).

Junior Soldiers
A program for younger members of The Salvation Army ages 7-14.

Sunday School
Bible Study for boys and girls.

Corps Cadets
Corps Cadets is a leadership development program for teenagers. Corps Cadets who complete this 5 year course are eligible for a $1,000 a year college scholarship.
