What brings you to The Salvation Army for assistance? I am a single mother to two children with another on the way and have fallen on very tough times financially. My son has a lot of medical issues which makes it nearly impossible to work as he has 7-10 appointments each week. I take him to those as well as drop off and pick up my daughter from school.

What does receiving assistance from The Salvation Army mean to you? It means the world to me, as me and my children are on the verge of being homeless.

What does receiving assistance from The Salvation Army mean to you? It saves my life. I don’t know what I would do, they said they’d turn off my electricity today unless I paid. I’m preparing for surgery so stress is really bad. Thank you so so much. I’ve worked since I was 15 years old, and it’s so hard to live. I never relax.

What does receiving assistance from The Salvation Army mean to you? I would be very thankful, and I would have lights and could cook. My food wouldn’t go bad. It would be a big help. I don’t know what I would do without your help, and I do thank God that you are here to help people like me.

What brings you to The Salvation Army for assistance? To get help paying my electric bill. I couldn’t pay due to the cost of my medications this month. I was sick and insurance wouldn’t cover it, so I had to pay out of pocket.

What does receiving assistance from The Salvation Army mean to you? It means a lot to me. I want to be able to live where I’m at and have electricity to help me be able to live alone.

What brings you to The Salvation Army for assistance? Our family is and has been struggling financially for months, and just seems to go back 2 steps and only 1 step forward. Normally, we pull together and do whatever it may take to make ends meet, but the bills have been taking a toll on us and we are falling behind. Now we are facing our utilities being turned off (water, power) and cancellation of car insurance.

What does receiving assistance from The Salvation Army mean to you? I am so very grateful for the help and support that The Salvation Army offers. Not only to my family, but for everyone that falls in desperate need and has to ask for assistance without losing our pride and dignity in doing so. Thank you to all.
