Stuff The Bus
Donate school supplies at your local Walmart on Aug 3
Did you know that The Salvation Army sees an increase in need every September? That’s partly because family finances are strained every year by the expense of providing backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, and other basic back to school items. Parents then have to make unfair choices like paying for school supplies or groceries, the electric bill or car insurance.
Parents shouldn’t have to make such unfair choices. That’s why The Salvation Army, in collaboration with Walmart, is running a national Stuff the Bus event on August 3. We’re asking people to donate back to school supplies at nearly 3,000 Walmart stores around the country. Just stop by your local Walmart and drop your new school items in one of the bins out front. The Salvation Army will make sure those supplies get to a kid in need in your community.
