Daily Feeding Program: The Center of Hope is open 365 days a year and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Serving 600-700 meals daily, the food is prepared and served by a combination of volunteers and paid staff. To be a volunteer, you do not have to be experienced in food service – we are happy to provide the training you need. If you plan to volunteer, we ask that you allocate a minimum two hours time. You need to be over 16 years of age; 12-15 year old youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  For safety reasons, long pants and closed shoes – sorry, no shorts, tank tops or sandals.  Call 954-4673, ext. 1303 to schedule time to serve the hungry of Sarasota.

Directions: When volunteering for the daily feeding program, come to 1400 Tenth Street – enter through the second entrance, park towards the fence.  Follow the sidewalk to the last door.  Ring the doorbell and someone will come to welcome you.  Tell them you are here as a regular volunteer and you need an application.  Complete the one page application.  Please sign in and out in the Volunteer Book.

If you have a group that would like to volunteer, please call 364-8845, ext. 1111
to schedule a time to serve.
