The Alex Schoenbaum Homeless Memorial
Dedicated December 22, 2008

A favorite memory described by Betty Schoenbaum when telling about her late husband raising $31 million for The Salvation Army….”when asked, as a Jew, why he raised money for a Christian organization, his explanation was…. WE ARE ALL DESCENDED FROM ABRAHAM, ISSAC AND JACOB, AND WE ARE ALL BROTHERS, NO MATTER WHAT COLOR, RACE OR CREED, AND WHEN MY BROTHER CAN TURN NO PLACE ELSE, HE CAN FIND HELP AT THE SALVATION ARMY.”

If you would like to purchase a brick in the walkway, as a special tribute or memorial to a family member, friend or one of the fallen homeless, please call 364-8845, ext. 1112 for an order form.
