to support The Salvation Army Mexico Children’s Home

The Sarasota Women’s Ministry meets each Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12 noon and offers a variety of programs for women.  From 8:30am on there is a sewing group that meets to work on various sewing projects and makes adult daycare bibs for our nursing home residents.

Women’s Bible Study meets to share insights from the Word as the women grow in their personal walk with God.

The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries began in 1907 as the Home League with a four fold program of education, worship, fellowship and service.  It is designed to bring women to Christ and to encourage spiritual growth. The ladies’ Home League has expanded and continues to thrive all over the world.  Our mission is to provide opportunity to win women for Christ and assist in their spiritual growth, nurturing an awareness of the needs of the family, the community, the nation and the world. We offer a Women’s sewing group, Bible study, Home League and lunch.

Weekly programs and outings are held to allow women to meet together and work toward a common good of growing in God’s mercy. Lunch is provided weekly for the ladies that attend the meetings and all meetings are open to women ages 14 and up.

Transportation is available as needed.  Please call the office at (941) 364-8846 to make arrangements.
