SHELTER PROGRAM: This program has a 30 bed safe house for victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their dependents who are currently in danger, who are fearful of being in danger, or who have been in danger of being emotionally, physically or sexually abused.

While residing at the safe house individuals are provided with safety and security where they are able to rest and make decisions that will benefit themselves and their children. Counselors are available 24 hours a day to provide counseling and other supportive services to victims.

Food, personal hygiene items, laundry facility and detergent, shoes and clothing are provided to individuals residing in the safe house free of charge.
Shelter is a communal living situation and individuals who can not function in that type of environment will need to seek shelter in another location. Every effort will be made by program staff to assist these individuals in locating other housing arrangements.

Residents will be asked to attend support group counseling once per week and individual counseling at least once a week. Children will be provided with individual and support group counseling as well. Residents will be assisted in completing a plan of service which will be updated regularly. Assistance will be provided to residents in locating employment, housing and other needed services. Further, residents will be required to abide by certain guidelines for communal living.

Violence, threat of violence, intimidation, breeching confidential location of the safe house or other residents and drug/alcohol abuse on property will not be tolerated.
