For those experiencing homelessness in Marion County, the Center of Hope provides a critical safety net. We provide Emergency Shelter for women, men and families who would otherwise be at the mercy of the elements and those with evil intent. We offer a 40-bed men’s dorm, 20-bed women’s dorm, and six rooms for short-term occupancy by families with children.
Tuesday May 10th & Wednesday May 11th—Wal-Mart Thank You Day to all local Wal-Mart partners with visits from Major Dwayne Durham, Kettles and Elizabeth Palmer, Angel Tree Coordinator for Marion County – various locations.
Wednesday May 11th—Reopening of TSA Center of Hope Dining Room We have continued to serve our community dinner during the pandemic, but only through take-out. This week we reopen our dining room so that the important aspect of our dinner, community and fellowship around the table is reinstated. We need each other!
Thursday May 12th—Salvation Army Evangeline Booth Garden Apts. 10:00am Senior Programming resumes post-pandemic at our HUD-Partner senior citizen apartments 2921 NE 14th Street Ocala.
Fri May 13th— Family Store Customer Appreciation Day 25% off all purchases all day with free donuts to the first 75 customers!
Saturday 14th—Friends and Family Concert at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service 2901 NE 14th St. Tickets $7 — $10 at the door 1:15pm Light Refreshments 2:00pm Concert – all proceeds benefit The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries!
Sunday 15th—10:45am “Come, Join Our Army!” Worship and Senior Soldier Enrollment 2901 NE 14th St. Morning worship service.
