John P. Cardillo of Terra Cotta Golf Charities donation


Naples, FL – The Salvation Army of Collier County was recently honored to receive a gift from Terra Cotta Golf Charities in the amount of $40,000 in support of programs in the new Fran Cohen Youth Center. This wonderful new facility was dedicated on April 10th, 2017 and is currently hosting The Salvation Army summer camp for approximately 100 children.

The Fran Cohen Youth Center is a 14,000 square foot facility located on The Salvation Army campus on Airport Road in Naples. In addition to summer camp, the Center will serve as the primary location for TSA after-school programs. Elementary and Middle School age children will have the opportunity for homework assistance and tutoring as well as access to a variety of performing and visual arts based programs and a culinary program.

About Terra Cotta Golf Charities

Terra Cotta Charities Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that conducts the Terra Cotta Invitational Golf Tournament and invites the best amateur golfers in the world to participate at the Naples National Golf Club in April of each year.

All the net proceeds generated by the tournament are donated to local charities benefitting children. The donations come primarily from Naples National Members and golf business sponsors. According to charity President and long time local attorney John P. Cardillo, the tournament has generated over $900,000 for local charities since 1996.
