Each year, The Salvation Army provides Christmas gifts for needy children and nursing home residents. For most, the gifts from the Angel Tree Program will be the only gifts they open. If you believe that everyone deserves a Merry Christmas, please help!

The Angel Tree program allows donors to select a tag for a child or children from qualified families unable to provide gifts and clothing to their children during the holidays. For many donors in the community selecting a child(ren) to provide gifts for has become a special tradition. For participating companies and groups, the sponsorship program is a wonderful opportunity for employees to give back to their community through a fun and heartwarming tradition.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and sponsors who helped us adopt over 1,200 children and over 1,700 seniors, in 2016. We hope you will consider adopting a child or senior this year. As we get closer to the Holiday Season we will provide information about how and where you can find tags for the children and seniors in need along with the drop off location for the gifts.

There are several ways the community can help with the Angel Tree Program:

·        Adopt individual Angels from the tree located at The Melbourne Square Mall, 4800 W. New Haven Ave., in the center of the Mall

·        Sponsor an Angel Tree (adopt 25 or more Angels) for your business organization.

·        Host a toy/gift drive for our “Forgotten Angels”
