NATIONAL SALVATION ARMY WEEK

MAY 10TH
WE FIGHT HUNGER

From sit-down programs that provide nutritious hot meals and valuable human interaction, to mobile meals delivering sustenance to those who cannot reach a food distribution center, to feeding programs across our hundreds of shelters and residential facilities, we help the most vulnerable members of society escape the daily burdens of food insecurity.

MAY 11TH
WE FIGHT FOR HEROES

Veteran Programs & Services

The Salvation Army provides housing and individualized case management for Veteran men, women and families who are experiencing homelessness. Veterans stay in our program for a few months or up to a year while they work on getting connected to benefits through the VA, work with ours Case Management Specialists on barriers to housing, and address any other challenges they face on building a stable life. The Veteran’s Program supports Veterans and their transition to independent living and reconnect to community.

MAY 12TH
WE FIGHT FOR THE HOMELESS

Our Shelter Programs assist those experiencing homelessness by providing a safe clean shelter, showers, meals, and personal hygiene supplies for families, single men and women, young adults, and veterans in our city. We operate a Day Shelter, Overnight Shelter and maintain temporary housing efficiency apartments in our Emergency Family Shelter units. Each night many people sleep at The Salvation Army as we strive to help them gain hope, stability and success.

MAY 13TH
WE FIGHT FOR SOULS

Community Ministry Programs & Worship

Our Corps serve as neighborhood resource hubs with Salvation Army activities, ministries and other services. At our Corps, you will find a variety of place based programs including weekly worship services, youth character building activities, senior citizen activities, food pantry, resources and recreation.

MAY 14TH
WE FIGHT FOR CHILDREN

Youth Development Programs

At The Salvation Army, children of all ages come through our doors every day. Some want to attend a week of overnight summer camp, play in the gym, or learn a new skill after school rather than going home to an empty house. Some need an adequate dinner or help with homework. Others just want to have a conversation with someone willing to listen and that’s what we do.

No matter the need, we see each child’s potential in life and help them see the path to a brighter future.
