Help local kids go back to school prepared with a school supplies drive!

Back to school is a time filled with anticipation and excitement, but for many in Jacksonville it also means a time when tight budgets really get pinched. The cost of school supplies can really add up. You can help local families in need by hosting a school supplies drive at your place of business, church, or civic group.

From June 4-July 20 we're looking for school supplies for grades k-12. Supplies can be dropped off at the locations listed below, or if you collect a large quantity, we can arrange for pickup.

Backpacks (for k-12 boys and girls)
Loose-leaf paper
Glue Sticks
Composition notebooks
Spiral notebooks
Hand sanitizer

Are you a family who needs help with school supplies?

Applications for school supply assistance will take place June 21 and 22 from 9am-12pm at the Towers Center of Hope at 900 W. Adams St downtown. The distribution of the supplies will be on August 3 from 9am-2pm at the same location. You must apply in order to receive assistance.

What to bring:

1. Proof of Duval residency
2. Child’s most recent report card showing grade level
3.Proof of income: TANF/food stamps card or letter, social security award letter, low income housing documents, or proof of unemployment

Please note that this assistance is intended to be supplemental. We cannot guarantee that your child's entire school supplies list will be fulfilled.
