Annual Celebrity Chefs Fundraiser is Canceled Due to COVID-19 Concerns
Every year, The Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary looks forward to hosting the Celebrity Chefs fundraiser that raises money for the programs of The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida. Given the growing concerns around COVID-19, the difficult decision to cancel the 34th Annual Celebrity Chefs event at the Prime Osborn Convention Center has been made at this time.
Ticket purchasers have the option to donate the cost of the ticket to The Salvation Army or receive a full refund. To receive a refund, please email Darlene.Uhler-Batiste@uss.salvationarmy.org with the ticket number by April 24, 2020.
The health and safety of the attendees, staff and volunteers is our highest priority. The Salvation Army thanks those who have supported and donated to this fundraiser. The 35th Annual Celebrity Chefs Tasting and Silent Auction is set for March 25, 2021 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Additional details for next year’s event will be shared at a later time.
The Salvation Army USA is working closely with federal and state authorities to prepare for the possibility of a COVID-19 outbreak. We are consistently providing updates to the Federal Emergency Management Agency on our National Preparedness & Response status. Across the country, trained Salvation Army Emergency Response staff are on standby to assist if requested.
