The Salvation Army and Walmart Partner to Bring Joy and Hope to Families in Need in Throughout the State of Florida

LUTZ, Fla. (Nov. 17, 2025) – The Salvation Army and Walmart are once again partnering to bring holiday cheer and hope to families in need across the state of Florida. Through in-store and online giving opportunities, customers can make a meaningful difference for children and families this Christmas season.

New this year, Walmart will match customer giving through two special opportunities:

  • Now – December 24 | Holiday Meal Donation Match made through the Holiday Meal Donation Campaign on Walmart.com: Online shoppers can add a $5, $15, or $25 donation at checkout on Walmart.com (search Salvation Army) to help support efforts to provide meals for families in need. Walmart will give up to $500,000 in matching gifts through December 24.
  • December 2 – December 24 | Online Round-Up Match for online and in-app purchases: Walmart shoppers can round up their online or in-app purchase total to the nearest dollar, with every cent supporting The Salvation Army’s local programs through the Red Kettle Campaign. Walmart will give up to $1 million in matching funds from December 2–24.

These matching initiatives allow shoppers to double their impact and help even more families this holiday season.

Additional Holiday Engagement Opportunities

  • Red Kettle Campaign | November 15 – December 24
The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettles return to Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs nationwide. Shoppers can donate cash or give digitally to support programs providing food, shelter, and hope year-round.
  • Angel Tree | November 15 – December 15
Customers can select an Angel Tree tag at participating Walmart stores to purchase gifts for a local child in need — or visit Walmart.com/AngelTree to give online. Gifts are distributed by The Salvation Army in each local community to ensure every child experiences the joy of Christmas morning.

For more than 40 years, Walmart and The Salvation Army have partnered to bring hope to millions across the country. Through initiatives like Angel Tree and the Red Kettle Campaign, children have unwrapped gifts on Christmas morning, and families have shared warm meals — all made possible by the generosity of Walmart and Sam’s Club customers and members.
