OPTION 1: VOLUNTEER
Did you know that The Salvation Army must pay workers to staff the red kettles throughout the season? It’s true . . . because we do not have enough volunteers to fill all of our locations each day, and people in need are counting on us to raise as much as we can during this short period of time. When you volunteer, we’re able to put 100% of what is raised in the red kettle back into programs and services that help men, women, and children every day!
Dates: November 26, 2021- December 24, 2021
To become a Red Kettle Volunteer, contact: Jealixson Jean-Simon, Jealixson.Jean-Simon@uss.salvationarmy.org 727-725-9777, ext. 104 or visit RegistertoRing.com
OPTION 2: SPONSOR
When you sponsor a kettle for either one day or one week, you’ll be helping The Salvation Army raise much-needed funds to serve your neighbors in need 365 days a year. You can sponsor a kettle for one day for $500 (what a volunteer group typically raises in a day), or you can sponsor a kettle for one week for $2,500 (a one-day sponsorship discount)!
During the length of your sponsorship, your name or company will be posted at the kettle, letting everyone know that you are doing the most good for your community!
1 Day Sponsor = $500, 1 Week Sponsor = $2,500
Dates: November 26, 2021- December 24, 2021
To become a Adopt-A-Kettle Sponsor, contact: Jessica Jamieson: Jessica.Jamieson@uss.salvationarmy.org, 727-725-9777, ext. 105
There are TWO ways to Adopt-A-Kettle!

82 cents of every dollar donated provides direct services to the less fortunate in our community.
Our neighborhoods and cities thrive in part because of a pervading generosity. Indeed, the work of THE SALVATION ARMY depends on private individual expressions of support that come our way in countless forms.
Americans continually set new records for charitable support.
In fact there are many ways that you can make a gift. The most common is by simply writing a check or giving cash. Many of these same individuals and families plan today for a gift that comes in the form of a bequest articulated in the Last Will and Testament.
But there are a number of other ways that friends provide critical support to The Salvation Army. Often the way that a gift is made can have dramatic impact on helping to meet the long and short-term objectives of a donor.
Almost every gift to a qualified charitable organization comes with certain tax benefits, thanks to our government’s ongoing encouragement of the private support of charities. However, in many situations it is possible to receive more than just a charitable income tax deduction.
Indeed, certain ways of giving make it possible to bypass capital gains taxes on appreciated assets, significantly reduce estate taxes, and even establish a whole new source of income for yourself and your family.
The professionals in our Office of Planned Giving have been trained to help match your gift with your objectives. They’ll provide you with no obligation, confidential information that will ensure that your gift – whether cash, insurance, stock, property or a gift in trust – is timed to meet your objectives and deliver maximum value.
Your support is greatly appreciated and we are available to provide you with information and assistance in this important matter. If you need wording to include The Salvation Army in your estate plans, creating a life income for you and your loved ones, or in updating or creating your estate plans, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Volunteers from all walks of life strongly support The Salvation Army in almost all of its activities. To begin doing the most good in your community today, please Apply Now.

Salvation Army extends help to shutdown-affected workersNew Frontier, News
Many of the organization’s food banks anticipate an increase in need if the standoff continues.
Nearly four weeks into what’s become the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, many across the country are beginning to feel the financial impact of the impasse.
Many of the more than 800,000 federal workers and roughly 4 million more government contractors affected have now missed their first paycheck. For some of them, this may mean they need to reign in their spending on non-essentials, or simply tighten their monthly budget. But for others living paycheck to paycheck, missing just one could mean they can’t pay their mortgage, or afford groceries, medicine, or child care.
The Salvation Army is one of several groups stepping up to offer some relief to furloughed government employees, those working without pay, or anyone else affected, as they navigate the unexpected stress and financial hardship triggered by the partial shutdown.
