Providing services that help nurture the love of learning are among the highest priorities of The Salvation Army. Through our youth character-building programs, we provide a positive, stimulating environment in which to learn and a wide range of educational opportunities for children of all ages.
The Salvation Army offers high-quality after-school activities, summer camps, character development classes, leadership training, and more.

Our free Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening programs are an incredible resource to families in our community who are looking for high-quality and accessible education for their children after school hours. Applications are available at our center on Belcher Rd., but you can also read our handbook and apply online using the buttons below:
Character Building Classes (Pre-K & Up)
Tuesdays 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Bible based life skill classes and recreation with students divided into fun groups, such as "Sunbeams", by age and gender.

School of Music (3rd Grade & Up)
Wednesday 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Christ-centered music instruction in brass, dance, guitar, percussion, piano, as well as group singing. Instruments are loaned for free.

When a disaster strikes, The Salvation Army is prepared to respond and help. Each disaster creates its own unique circumstances and needs, we are prepared to respond in seven core services.
We depend on YOU, our volunteers, to fulfill the community need when called upon.
As we are preparing, we need TRAINED volunteers to respond to after a disaster strikes. Below are several training courses that are required prior to you being able to assist.
