The Women’s Auxiliary of The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County will host their 33rd Annual “Hearts of Gold” Luncheon at The Pelican Club.

West Palm Beach, Florida (March 7, 2023) – The Women’s Auxiliary of The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County will host their 33rd Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, March 29th from 11:30am-2:30pm at The Pelican Club located at 1065 North A1A Jupiter, Florida. In commemoration of International Women’s Month, the Auxiliary will be honoring local philanthropists Dr. Alina Alonso, Marie Hope Davis, and Arlette Gordon as the event’s Honorary Chair. The Luncheon will feature an elegant surf and turf lunch, a silent auction, vendor sales, and a stunning fashion show by Rose Meyerowich. Guest Speaker will be Josh Liller, Historian and Collections Manager for Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum.

“We are especially honored to have author and historian Josh Liller as our luncheon speaker,” said Nicole Briden, President of the Woman’s Auxiliary. “Being involved with The Salvation Army for over 14 years I can attest to all the good they do for our community! The Salvation Army is remarkable in the way that they put love into action by serving others.” According to Briden, the Woman’s Auxiliary is “the Army Behind The Army!”

The Women’s Auxiliary of The Salvation Army was founded in Palm Beach County by Charlotte Sinclair in 1988. The Auxiliary is comprised of volunteer ladies who dedicate their time and efforts to raise funds and awareness of The Salvation Army’s many programs and services. The Annual “Hearts of Gold” luncheon is the main fundraising event of the Auxiliary whose proceeds help support initiatives of The Salvation Army including veteran services, human trafficking, homelessness, youth, and children’s programs. The Woman’s Auxiliary has also supported local as well as international disaster relief efforts.
