West Palm Beach, Florida (November 20, 2020) Simple Life Medical, a COVID Protection Solutions company and the local partner Kira Labs, a premier hand sanitizer manufacturer, have donated 20,000 Hand Sanitizer Tubes (2.5 oz) to The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County. The tubes will be made available to The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign throughout the state of Florida.
Since the start of the COVID pandemic, Majors James and Leisa Hall, Area Commanders of The Salvation Army of Palm Beach, have aggressively advanced initiatives to help individuals cope with medical, emotional, and financial difficulties. “Due to the pandemic,” said Major Hall, “there will be fewer days and locations that our bellringers will be out. I think it is amazing that Simple Life Medical and Kira Labs are providing hand sanitizer to safeguard the personal health of our bellringers and to reassure the public that we have done all we can to promote their safety when making a donation. One of our slogans,” continued Hall, “is ‘heart to God, hand to man.’ The sanitizers will ensure that the Army’s hands will be safe to grasp!”
Simple Life Medical designs COVID safety protocols that include a full line of PPE masks, thermometers, and sanitizers. The company specializes in developing innovative protection technologies such as non-chemical long-lasting surface protectors and UV Air/surface disinfectors. “We were entrusted by the leaders at the West Palm Beach Unit at the Salvation Army to assist them in making sure that their residents, employees, volunteers, and visitors were as safe as possible from the threats of COVID,” says CEO Miguel Mayorca. “Majors James and Leisa Hall were aggressive since early in the pandemic to respond to the threats so they could get back to doing what they do best, help people.”
Kira Labs is a global manufacturer of beauty innovations featured in more than 10,000 stores in 100 countries. The company had the insight to immediately pivot their cosmetic factory to create a line of much needed hand sanitizer at a time when it was almost impossible to source. According to David Rosen, “the entire team at Kira Labs is engaged in our donation program and we are all very proud and honored to partner with Simple Life Medical and the Salvation Army to provide essential products to those in need.”
Thanksgiving marks the start of the 2020 Red Kettle Christmas Season collection drive for The Salvation Army. The campaign, which ends on Christmas Eve, brings in a third of the Army’s annual budget.
