The Salvation Army West Palm Beach Worship & Service Center held its monthly food distribution today. The Social Services office, under the guidance of Captain Brandon Mason, holds this event the last Thursday of each Month, unless it falls on a holiday, and this month was no different. With a few modifications, including a drive through pick up, folks in need were able to receive a variety of food items. We sincerely THANK everyone involved today – you truly are a blessing! This event is possible because of the generosity of others who make donations to our food pantry. Some of the larger donors are Palm Beach Harvest, Whole Foods, and today FitTeam Ballpark.
We can’t forget our amazing volunteers, including Katherine Waldron from The Port of Palm Beach, who came out and joined staff handing out pre-packaged bags as individuals and families drove through. With more than 113 families showing up today, and we do expect this number to rise dramatically in the coming weeks, distribution was successful in “Doing The Most Good.”
Our Social Services offices, three in Palm Beach County, are already seeing an increase in those struggling to make ends meet, and with the support of our friends and neighbors we will continue to support those in need. We are all in this together and we need your help now more than ever!
If you would like to donate to our efforts, with a monetary gift or non-perishable food items, please call 561-686-3530. If you need assistance, please contact one of our 3 social service offices, West Palm Beach 561-686-3530; Lake Worth 561-968-8189; Boca Raton 561-391-1344. God bless you all and stay safe! #PalmBeachHarvest #WholeFoods #FitTeam
