Mike and his wife, Katherine, were doing all they could to support their family. Their daughter, Emily, was very sick and needed to stay at the hospital for an extended period of time.

Unable to work full-time and be there for Emily, Katherine was forced to cut her hours at work. After having to choose between paying medical bills and feeding their daughter, Mike and Katherine turned to The Salvation Army.

Thanks to friends like you, we were able to provide the family with bags of groceries so they wouldn’t have to go to sleep hungry. We also provided them with comfort and spiritual guidance.

They left that day feeling confident, with their heads held high.

“Without The Salvation Army’s help, my wife and I would have lost everything,” Mike says. “Because of their support, we could finally get caught up on my daughter’s medical bills. It’s like a huge weight has been lifted, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Disasters can take many shapes. Click here to help The Salvation Army continue to assist when ‘everyday disasters’ strike.
